Gay Holidays With Meaning

Our lives can get very hectic. Job, family, commuting, health issues, etc can all weigh us down to the point of feeling lost. Our mental and physical health requires that we take a break from it all once in awhile. Luckily, we have countless vacation options these days.
You could take a vacation with just your immediate family or you could do typical group tours. But, you can also venture out into the world of vacationing with a group of people that have faced similar life challenges. For gay people, gay spirituality travel is a great option.
On gay vacations, our gayness is one thing we all have in common. This shared life experience can only add to our vacation experience. Bonds are quickly formed in the group due to our shared experiences in life.
New acquaintances become fast friends and people with whom we find we can share things. This helps to make gay vacations a unique and wonderful experience. We know we are understood by those around us, at least on some level.
Being comfortable with the people in the group, lets us be more open and relaxed. When we're more comfortable with those around us, the vacation experience can reach us more fully. This provides for a deeper recovery from life's pressures and strains.
Taking it to an even deeper level, we can take gay vacations with people of similar intentions. Travelling with men and women that want to grow spiritually is one way to do this. Then not only do we share our gayness, we share goals for the vacation.
Exploring our spirituality while on gay tours visiting special places throughout the world is a wonderful combination. With the other group members by our side, we are encouraged to step outside our box and live free. Living freer is the main goal of all vacations, is it not?

A Gay Trip To Thailand

Thailand is a tropical country in southeast Asia, located southeast of Burma and bordering the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea. Thailand is known for its delicious food, culture, temples, and beaches, which makes it a desirable vacation spot. In addition, Thai people are incredibly friendly and accepting, which appeals to gay travel, and it's not uncommon it be bombarded with smiles everywhere you go. Because of the monsoon season, the most desirable time to visit Thailand is between November and February when the weather is drier. The national currency is the baht (as of 2009 exchange rates, approximately 34 baht = $1).
For instance, although the sight of two men walking the streets arm in arm may be completely acceptable and normal to the typical Thai person who views this as a simple friendship, a man and a woman holding hands as they walk is not so readily accepted. And though sexual acts are left to the discretion of the involved individuals behind closed doors, public displays of nudity are considered absolutely unacceptable--even wearing shorts and a tank top is questionable in some areas and establishments. Never should one touch anothers head, as the head is considered to be sacred. And one should make sure never to point ones feet in the direction of another human being, since this also is viewed as being taboo.
The main vacation destination of Bangkok offers an amazing energy that is unmatchable. Just as you would expect in any major metropolitan city, Bangkok has a plethora of gourmet dining opportunities, and entertainment venues. Be certain to visit some of the wonderful outdoor Thai cafes, and to experience some of their uniquely fabulous entertainment spectacles.
Phuket is an island province located in the Andaman Sea and is a famous gay trips destination. This island is known for its beaches and natural beauty. Karon, Kamala, Kalim, and Patong beaches are top spots for leisure activities, including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and parasailing. A few places on Phuket contain hidden lagoons that can only be reached by canoe during certain tides. Phuket is also known for its gardens and seafood.
Chiangmai is the second largest city in Thailand, has a rich history, and contains more than 300 temples. The Buddhist monastery of Doi Suthep can be found looking down on the city, reached by a long mountain road. Outside of Chiangmai, there are numerous gardens (there are over 1000 varieties of orchids here), waterfalls, and hidden caves. Like Bangkok, Chiangmai has a thriving gay population, and nightlife is diverse, with go-go bars, clubs, and cabaret.
With its many exciting gay destinations, and non-judgmental culture, Thailand is an ideal place to visit on a gay vacation. From beautiful panoramas, sandy beaches, and rich history and tradition, a visit to Thailand will be fulfilling and memorable. And experiencing a culture where the people actually put into practice their spiritual believes makes is even more memorable. While in Thailand make certain that you spend time with the Thai people; get to know a few of them at least a little bit. You will be greatly rewarded for your efforts.
