Reaching Your Fitness Potential
Have you ever really thought about what it will take to reach your fitness goals? You might be trying to lose weight, build muscle, increase endurance; but what does it really take?
I started thinking about achieving my fitness goals, as well as helping those people I train to reach their fitness goals, and as much as I want to say that something like a new routine or the latest and greatest workout will help you reach your fitness goals, all it really takes is blood, sweat, and tears.
You have to push yourself when you workout every time you hit the gym, take a jog, or swing a kettlebell. When you set your fitness goal, you have to see yourself achieving it, then do what it takes to make it happen.
I can tell you what won't get you there is a lack of intensity in your training and using the bare minimum in what you can lift each and every time, never progressing, and doing a ton of exercises to sculpt your body. If you follow what I say of training hard, training heavy, and training efficiently, you'd be leagues above 99% of the population.
The majority of people don't workout hard enough to ever reach their fitness goals. If you want to reach your goals, you need to take your body past where it has been. If you repeat the same routine every time, with the same lack if intensity, expect to have less-than-acceptable results. Instead, sprint an extra mile, do that extra kettlebell swing, and choose the heavier dumbbell every single time you workout.
If you want to reach your fitness goals, you will be much more likely to succeed if you train hard with as much intensity as possible. While it would be nice if there was some magic solution to reaching your goals, you should be happy to know that while the solution (i.e. hard work) is not easy, it is simple.
