<p>It's not secret that the more advanced and developed a country gets, the fatter the people become. The U.S.A. Australia, Great Britain and other so called "developed" countries are filled with fat people. Even in China, child obesity is becoming a problem.</p>
<p>Why are so many people in the world today so fat, and more importantly, what can we do about it? How can we get rid of the weight once and for all?</p>
<p>For one thing, we don't work as hard as we used to. Most people nowadays can work a pretty easy job, sitting at a desk, taking the elevator up and down, and not even getting up off the couch to change the channel on the TV. So that's one reason we're so fat. We don't get enough exercise.</p>
<p>The second reason is the stuff we stuff into our mouths on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, I love a double cheese Calzone just like the next gal, but those don't help your figure out that much. Not to mention all the chemicals, preservatives, and who knows what else is put in there, so they can mass produce it in New York, and sell it in San Francisco.</p>
<p>What about heading out for a bite? Is it any better? No. It's worse. Much worse. How many fast food restaurants do you think you pass by on your way to and from work everyday? Ten? Twenty? More? And how healthy do you think those places are? If you were a mad scientist, and wanted to craft some food that tasted delicious but was deadly, you couldn't do a much better job than the fast food that is available to us today.</p>
<p>And if you are ever hungry, and you go shopping, where are you more likely to head, the cucumber section, or the frozen food microwave section? Or that section of most supermarkets today where they have food that is just as bad as fast food, but smells so good?</p>
<p>And all those companies that make all that food that is so hard to resist? Do you think they want you to lose weight? Do you think they would like you to shop at the whole foods market instead of the drive-thru? Yep, didn't think so.</p>
<p>There is a growing suspicion that this whole mess we live in was carefully designed by those that want to take advantage of our natural tendency to eat delicious food, just so they could make a profit. I don't know if that's true, but they sure are making a profit.</p>
