Big night out and clothes don't fit. We have all been there. Can we lose this weight without having to resort to a quick fix diet? Yes if we have the relevant information.

Firstly you must have a plan, set a date to start your diet, tell friends and family you are planning to lose weight. If you do this you will be prepared mentally for the days you really want to give up. It is important that you want to lose weight for yourself and not because someone else thinks you should. Take time to review your lifestyle and decide which diet and exercise plan will fit into your schedule.

It has been stated that exercising in the morning burns more calories and fat off than in the evening.

Nutrition plays an important factor when embarking on any diet plan, especially a quick fix diet. Processed foods contain high levels of sodium which cause fluid to be retained. Eliminate these from your diet wherever possible.

Try and have lots of healthy snacks readily available to stop you snacking on crips, nuts or cakes. Drink plenty of water to keep you well hydrated. This is very important if you are using a quick fix diet.

Chart your quick diet loss plans in different places in your home. This is a really good visual reminder of your goals and will hopefully stop you resorting to quick fix diets. Buy a special piece of clothing that is in the size you wish to be and hang it where you can see it everyday. This will give you incentive to stick to your diet.

The worst place to eat your meal is slumped in front of the television. It has been proven that if you do you will overeat. Try not to eat to late in the evening and the best way to avoid both of these is to plan your meal times in advance so you don't get caught out on the hop.

Don't embark on any diet plan before you have checked it is the right one for you and if in doubt seek professional advice. If you do the initial planning you should be able to resist the quick fix diets.
