In times of stress, one must learn how to deal with it. You also need to learn what puts your body into stress mode.
You cannot avoid stress. That is the bottom line. You can, however, pinpoint the matters that cause you to feel out of control. You can learn how to avoid those stress factors. If you are able to change your environment to one of less-stress, you can combat a wide range of every day triggers. A large number of symptoms, everything from high blood pressure to anxiety to depression, are caused by the stresses in your life. Need to learn how to avoid your daily stress? Then, try these following tips.
1. Learn how to adapt: We all have different personalities. Everyone responds differently to certain situations. There are some people who, by their nature, have a tendency to be able to easily accept changes easily. They are able roll with the punches, so to speak. These are the people that seem to accept challenges without a problem. They never seem to complain when something changes. On the other hand are the people that have a difficult time learning to accomodate changes. These are the individuals that get stressed to the point of anxiety at the slightest changes. While most people fall somewhere in the middle, you can help yourself by learning how to adapt. This means that when you learn to accept and face changes in your situation, then you can lower the stress you feel each day. Determine how to deal with little things in your life that you cannot control and you'll feel less-stressed right away.
2. Become organized: Were you aware that many people experience stress over not being organized? You may laugh at the idea, but it is so true when you stop to think about it. Think about this, you are wrapping a gift for a party that's in 30 minutes. You begin looking for your scissors or the tape. But your house is messy and you can't find what you are lsearching for anywhere. Now you feel rushed and you end up making a stop by the store to buy a gift bag. You are running late and are stressed. Now envision your home totally organized. Everything has a place and everything is in its place. Your daily calendar is sitting right where you can find it. You never forget an appointment and you never run all over your house looking for lost items. Stress solved.
3. Learn how to say no: For people that over-commit, telling someone no is often quite difficult. Many people are guilty of taking on way more than we can handle. The reason is that we have not learned how to say no. When you step back and look at the situations that cause you to feel stress, you will see the things that you need to say no to. Immerse yourself in matters that you love doing and stop taking on more responsibly that you can honestly handle.
